CORRECTION
In our recent story on Archbishop William J. Leveda's refusal to help provide child support for the child of a Portland priest, we mistakenly reported that the child's mother argued the priest should have used birth control. In fact it was the Archbishop, now Defender of the Faith for the Vatican, succeeding Pope Benedict XVI in that office, who argued that the mother should have employed birth control, therefore the Church was not responsible. We regret the error.
